A Look into the Career of Rally Driver Rodrigo Terpins

The Brazilian sports fraternity is very familiar with the name Rodrigo Terpins. Rodrigo is a known high achiever, who loves the adrenalin rush of rally competitions. He has competed in several rallies all across Brazil, and more so famous for his participation in the Sertoes Rally. Rodrigo’s family consists of sports people. His father, Jack Terpins, is a former basketball player, and also the President of Latin American Jewish Council and Maccabi Latin America Confederation. His brother, Michael Terpins is a decorated rally driver too, and together they form the Tea Bull Sertoes Rally Team. Together, they have participated in over five rally events, both in a T-Rex, a product of MEM Motorsport.

Rodrigo Terpins like always, took part in the recent Sertoes Rally, alongside with partner Fabricio Manchiana. The 22nd edition of the Sertoes Rally covered 2600 kilometers, stretched over two states and was divided into several stages. The two, racing T1 prototypes, finished third in that category, as well as an overall of 8th position out of the 38 teams that took part in the event. The off-road event was dubbed the biggest in Brazil, drawing attention from various sponsors, rally drivers, and enthusiastic fans.

Speaking after the race, Rodrigo noted that he and his partner were keen to adapt to the vehicle and terrain, while also staying very vigilant. He even admitted the results were above the expectation the team had.

Education and Career

Rodrigo Terpins studies at the University of Sail Hilaire, where he acquired business management skills. He applied these skills during his 16-year tenure at Lojas Marisa, where he rose to the position of president until he decided to vacate the seat in 2007.

In 2008, Rodrigo formed his own company, T5 Participacoes. While he may have and still holds executive seats, Rodrigo’s career still circulates on rallies. The company has been on the forefront of organizing some of the best racing events in Brazil.
