Accomplished Therapist Patty Rocklage

Patty Rocklage is a marriage and family therapist practicing in the Massachusetts area, she offers her clients a warm communication style who finds herself privileged to be able to assist troubled individuals, couples, and their families while they work through their struggles to overcome them. She’s been in the psychology field for more than 20 years, since she graduated from the University of Southern California in 1981. Patty also thrives in teaching, coaching, public speaking, team building, and actively participates in community outreach. Her and her husband are both passionate philanthropists who donate to charity and political causes.

Along with her husband, Dr. Scott Rocklage, they have gifted the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with funds that helped to renovate the nanotechnology and nanochemistry lab. When the newly renovated labs were completed, Scott and Patty received a tour by Moungi Bawandeni, a Chemistry professor, who showed them around the new set up. A plague honoring both Dr. Scott and Patty was placed and had members gathered around it as they waited to hear speeches from faculty members. The current department head, Timothy Jamison, the former department head, Silvia Ceyer, and Professor Bawandeni paid tribute. Scott himself is an MIT alum, having received his Ph.D from the program under mentorship from Richard Schrock, 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry winner. Scott and Patty have also supported the Pittsburgh United Methodist Church and the Whitehead Institute.

In her personal life, Patty Rocklage prefers a classy lifestyle as she adores a mixture of modernity while still being conservative and environmental friendly. Her and her husband recently received renovation on their home from Sudbury’s most designated construction company, having their kitchen and landscape redone.

While being a committed wife, she’s also the devoted mother of three kids with her husband Scott. She previously sat on the Woman’s Board for South Sudanese Enrichment for families, formerly known as the Sudanese Education Fund. SSEF is a non-profit organization that works to create financial stability, higher employment levels, and better education among the greater Boston region in the Southern Sudanese communities. On the board, Patty served as the board of directors for SSEF.
