How does a hacker become a hacker? How does an engineer become an engineer? What does the intersection between the learning practices of both fields look like, and what can they learn from each other?
Hackronym is a site devoted to the investigation of the intersection between formal engineering education and the various practices of informal learning in hacker culture.
We host various research projects on the topic, run essays, news, and tutorials on various hacking or engineering education related topics, and serve as a space where people can try out experiments in different ways of learning either (or both) fields.
