Mirror Mirror…

On March 1st, Herb Kohl bought the Milwaukee Bucks for $18 million on this day in history. While that may seem like a lot of money to most people, it was a steal compared to the $550 million that current owner Wes Edens paid for the team in 2014. Wes Edens is a businessman who has made his mark in the sports world and beyond.

Edens was born in 1961 and grew up in Oregon. He attended Oregon State University and then got his MBA from Columbia Business School. After graduation, he began working in the finance industry. In 1987, he co-founded a private equity firm called Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking. Lehman Brothers acquired the firm in 1993, and Edens became a managing director at the investment bank.

In 2007, Edens left Lehman Brothers to co-found a private equity firm called Fortress Investment Group. SoftBank acquired a fortress in 2017 for $32 billion. Edens is currently the co-chairman and CEO of New Fortress Energy, a spin-off of Fortress.

Edens has made a name for himself in the sports world as well. In 2014, he bought the Milwaukee Bucks for $550 million. He is also the co-owner of the New York Knicks NBA team and the chairman of Premier League soccer club Aston Villa.

Edens is a successful businessman with a passion for sports. He has made a name for himself in both the sports and business worlds. He is a man with a vision who knows how to get things done. He is someone to watch in the years to come.
