Brief History
It took Highland Capital Management over two decades to expand into the international alternative credit market. HCM was established after the duo acquired Protective Life’s shares in Protective Asset Management Company to form Ranger Asset Management. Ranger Asset Management was renamed to HCM a year after the purchase.
